I am that frog

If enjoying dessert is like a play

what’s a soufflé?

I guess

Making a soufflé

Is like a kiss on the first date

It’s easy to get wrong

But getting it right really impresses women

The ingredients scatter everywhere

My exhilaration pervades everywhere

The eggs slip into the bowl silently

The yolk and albumen escape from each other vacillatingly

The yolk sits motionlessly in a bowl

Then a helical circular mixture

Fast and uniform stirring

Sift into the low-gluten flour

Stir evenly

Until no distinct particles

Pour into the melted hot butter

Stir evenly

Until no color aberration

The batter of yolk is ready to go

The albumen sits motionlessly in another bowl

Then a few drops of lemon juice jump into

Not easy to see

Not easy to smell

Whip albumen

Until dispersive bubbles

Resemble the watery eyes of the fish

A third of the granulated castor sugar sprinkles in

Continue to whip

Until intumescent volume

Resembles an inflatable balloon in the sky

Once more

A third of the granulated castor sugar sprinkles in

Continue to whip

Until dimply surfaced

Resembles the running streams on the plain

Once more

A third of the granulated castor sugar sprinkles in

Continue to whip

Until a powerful cream

Resembles pendulous stalactites in the karst cave

The batter of albumen is ready to go

Mingle the two well-done batters

With a spreader

From the bottom to top

Swiftly and nimbly

Moderate butter

Latch onto the inside wall of the paper bowl

Mingled batter

Huddle into the inside space of the paper bowl

The oven finishes warming-up

The little one rushes in fervidly

Holds his breath

Waits for the heat to call

Warmer and warmer

The little one keeps growing

Two hundred years later

He grows into a sturdy man

He rushes out fervidly

Bursts into laughter

Waits for the condiments to call

Coated with icing

Drizzled with maple syrup

Occupied with light cream

Decorated with blueberry

Like an exquisite gentleman

Waiting for the women to call

The woman comes

A sweet kiss

Her smile lit up the room like wildfire
